Born 1930: Peter Stone, screenwriter, "Father Goose" (1964), "The Secret War of Harry Frigg" (1968), "Who Is Killing the Great Chefs of Europe" (1978).

1946: Bob Hope and Bing Crosby opened in "Road to Utopia," the fourth of their seven films in the "Road" series. Humorist Robert Benchley served as on-camera commentator to the proceedings.

Born 1961: Wendy Liebman, stand-up comic.

Born 1961: Grant Shaud, actor, "Murphy Brown" (1988-96, Miles Silverberg).
