Go Daddy's Banned Super Bowl XL TV Commercials

Sunday February 5, 2006
The Funny Site of the Day -- The Internet hosting service had a rocky path to gain airplay approval for its Super Bowl XL commercial. Company President Bob Parsons:
"We have made available the chronology, with accompanying video and storyboards, of the steps we’ve taken to get our ad approved. As you will see by reviewing the chronology, we made 13 submissions which were all rejected. For each rejection we’ve provided a video, a storyboard or a screen shot. You can also see the approved ad here. You can be the judge if any of these submissions actually go too far."
Go Daddy spongemodel -- uh, make that: spokesmodel -- Candice Michelle is a hard worker in the entire series of censored ads, a "journey towards creating the most talked about commercial" of the game. Candice, of course, has a rare talent of speaking with her body. Her *enunciation* is precise and probably best suited for us big boys with acute *hearing.*
